During the Committee meeting it was stressed, that the Bill´s (Reg. No. 2379) objective is to ensure realization of forestry in shelter belts of strategic sylvicultural reclamation importance, "as one of the most proficient and inexpensive ecological and economic methods of increasing the agricultural crop capacity and stabilization of agricultural landscapes´ functioning".
Committee members stressed, that as a result of this factor underestimation average annual plant growing production damages from hot winds, wind erosion and ablation amount to 15-18 percent.
The Bill proposes to provide forestry enterprises in the field of administration of the Ministry of Agrarian policy with additional financial aid at the amount of UAH 70 000,0 thousand for the realization of measures in order to increase the efficiency and improvement of qualitative composition of forests, their protection from fires, plant pests and diseases.
